We take a good 392 block. Hot tank it. Visually inspect for cracks and excessive wear. Install ARP main bolts and line hone the main saddles. Check the block deck surfaces for warpage. If found to be warped we machine the surfaces flat. We also check the cylinder bores for excessive run out and hone/bore over to next available piston size with torque plates for a true cylinder. If reusing an existing crankshaft it is measured and polished/machined to proper tolerance. Once the block passes inspection and is all machined we do final assembly using professional practice.
